Remembrance Gathering

This is an invitation to all U3A Moraira – Teulada members who knew Shirley to gather at the memorial site in the park in Moraira for a simple moment of remembrance on the above date.

A Memorial Bench has already been installed in the park with a plaque commemorating Shirley.

Shirley, who sadly and very unexpectedly died a year ago in February 2016, was one of the most enthusiastic of our members. She served on the Committee and was Groups Coordinator from when our U3A group was first formed.

The Bench overlooks one of the Petanque playing areas and faces towards the sea. It has been placed near to the Olive tree which was planted in memory of past U3A Vice President, Pamela Kershaw who organised the first meeting of our U3A group.

Shirley’s family will be attending and would be delighted if as many of our members who knew Shirley could join them.
