The next performance by the U3A Band is at Café Del Mar, Moraira on Friday 20th May. U3A Band continues to attract full capacity audiences and plays a wide range of great music for all tastes.
All the band musicians are members of Moraira-Teulada U3A and do not receive payment for their performances, with any monies raised either being used for new equipment or for gifts to local charities.
The band enjoyed its first performance for the general public when it was invited to open the Moraira Lions Club season of summer concerts by Moraira Castle in June 2015 when the band performed to an audience of approximately 500 locals and holidaymakers enabling the Lions Club to raise more than €1500 for local charities. They have already been invited to open the Lions Club’s new season with a full evening of great music on Saturday 25th June.
The band consists of lead guitar, bass, rhythm acoustic and slide guitars, drums, harmonica, keyboard, saxophone and vocals and the music ranges from blues and rock & roll to selections from the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s.
