Matters Arising next meeting on 10th May 11:00

Don’t miss the next meeting of the Matters Arising discussion group!

The subject:

Spaniards sit for dinner, while the rest of Europe is ready to go to bed – should they change their working hours and habits?

Spain sits astride the prime or Greenwich meridian so that, geographically, it should be in the same time zone as the UK and Portugal, instead of CET.

This affects working hours, as Spaniards work longer hours (with lower productivity) than neighbouring European countries. They also sleep less and their family life is affected by the working hours. It would be useful to hear from people who have worked or had a business in Spain, to find out how they coped with this aspect and what they would like to see changed.

The reasons for this misalignment seem to be mostly historical – this is what we will find out during our, hopefully lighthearted and humorous, upcoming discussion.

The meeting will take place in the theatre of la Senieta at 11:00 on Tuesday 10th of May

Don’t miss it!
