The sun was shining and the sky was bright and clear when, with the wonderful sight of Montgo in the background and lush green grass of the golf course before us, 34 Chicas gathered for cava on the terrace.
Our first outing after the summer break proved to be successful, from our first greeting by José Manuel the manager who welcomed us all and ensured we were well catered for.
We were surprised by the unexpected arrival of amuse-bouche that was delicious before our starters arrived. The goat’s cheese salad was warm and tasty and the salmon stuffed peppers were pronounced as sublime. Nearly everyone described their main meals of lamb, cold roast beef or cod as excellent with just two people commenting on the lack of vegetables, however they both said they had enjoyed their meal.
One Chica, Lynn McRae, had even chosen to spend her 36th wedding anniversary with her Chicas friends.
The service was good, the food well presented and hot in the case of fish and Lamb. A lovely ambiance in the well appointed restaurant which was given over to us for the lunch time. The friendly ambience accompanied by nice wine and quotes of “best one yet” “good food and good company”.
