Dining Out Jan 2016: Katmandu Indian Restaurant Moraira

The Dining group went Indian for their first meal of 2016 and enjoyed the experience very much. Wine, water and poppadums with dips all came round first, then a substantial starter of a variety of different items like onion bhajee and spiced chicken pieces, the same for everyone,  before the main course which had been pre-ordered for both content and spiciness, together with either rice or naan breads.  Everyone I spoke to was very happy with their food, and many of the people drinking the red wine commented on how good it was  (FYI Homenaje 2014 in a tall bottle, which is one of their house wines!)  The only criticism was the frequent one that the first table served were actually leaving before the last table had been served dessert, in this case accentuated by the fact that the two tables were adjacent.  This is probably inevitable with such a large number of people, and a small price to pay for including so many people in the group.  But the service as always was friendly and smiling, and it was an excellent evening.  Thanks to our hosts Pat and Brian.
